Students from across the country have gathered at Dhaka’s Central Shaheed Minar to take part in the ‘March for Unity’ called by the Anti-discrimination Student Movement.

Demonstrators, chanting slogans, demanded the execution of Sheikh Hasina and others involved in the July-August massacre.

Slogans such as "Hang Hasina, Hang the Murderer," "My Brother is in the Grave, Why is the Killer Free?," "Not Delhi, Dhaka," "Abu Sayed Mugdho, the Struggle is Not Over," "Not Slavery, Freedom," echoed through the air.

People from various districts, including Chattogram, Natore, Panchagarh, and Sirajganj, arrived at the Shaheed Minar and Dhaka University area from early morning.

Gradually, they marched in processions to the Shaheed Minar, joining the rally in large numbers.

The gathering at Shaheed Minar follows a planned 'Proclamation of the July Revolution' program announced by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizens' Committee.

However, this program was postponed after the interim government announced its own initiative to draft a proclamation for the July mass uprising late last night.
