Bangladesh’s ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina has reportedly got a travel document from the Indian government, according to India-based newspaper Ei Samay.
The travel document will allow her overseas travel by obtaining a visa from any country, the report said.
The report cited an Awami League leader, who resides in Britain and is close to the family of Sheikh Hasina’s sister Sheikh Rehana, as the source of the information.
However, the leader told the news outlet that the Awami League president and her sister have no plans to go to any other countries right now.
“Sheikh Hasina is now getting appropriate security from the Indian government,” the report said.
