Six million new voters to be added to electoral roll, says EC

The Election Commission’s (EC) recently updated report on the voter list says, around 6.0 million new voters will be added to the electoral roll.

According to the report, information on more than 6.0 million individuals has been gathered so far, including 2.829 million male voters and 3.170 million female voters.

The report was compiled based on data collected from the field level, according to the National Identity Registration Division (NID).

EC officials stated that the registration process will continue until April 11.

During this period, anyone who was previously left out may complete the registration online and visit the registration centre to get enrolled as a new voter.
