Six senior police officers sent into forced retirement

The government has sent six police officers, including the Additional Inspector General of Police of the Railway Police Devdas Bhattacharya, into forced retirement.

The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued six separate notifications in this regard on Sunday.

The other five officers sent into retirement are- AKM Hafiz Akhtar, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (promoted to the post of Supernumerary Additional IGP) of the Industrial Police; Bashir Ahmed, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (promoted to the post of Supernumerary Additional IGP) of Dhaka Police Telecom; Md. Mijanur Rahman, the Police Super of RRF (attached to Police Headquarters); Md. Rafiqul Islam, the Assistant Police Super of APBN; and Md. Dadan Fakir, the Assistant Police Super of DMP.
