A Ramadan-themed fair, Souk-e-Ramadan 2026, was held on 13–14 March at the United Convention Center in Uttara, Dhaka, drawing approximately 15,000 visitors.
The two-day event was jointly organised by JCI Bangladesh and LUX Bangladesh, with Skybuy as the official sponsor. Families and groups of friends thronged the venue, visiting a wide array of stalls set up across the fairgrounds.
Around 150 stalls took part, offering products ranging from fashion items and jewellery to handmade crafts and food. In addition to established brands, the fair provided a platform for emerging entrepreneurs to showcase their offerings. Participating businesses reported strong customer engagement, citing both healthy sales and opportunities to build new connections.
The fair also featured a range of cultural and entertainment activities. Visitors enjoyed live Qawwali and flute performances, while children were entertained with magic shows and puppet displays. A dedicated mehendi corner attracted women seeking traditional hand designs, and virtual reality gaming experiences were arranged for younger attendees. In the evenings, decorative lighting added to the festive atmosphere, encouraging visitors to linger and socialise.
As part of the programme, JCI Bangladesh arranged iftar and sehri for its members, bringing together entrepreneurs and professionals from across the country.
Organisers said the initiative was aimed at fostering networking, supporting local businesses and promoting collaboration among entrepreneurs.
Overall, the event combined business promotion with Ramadan-focused cultural experiences, attracting strong participation from visitors, stallholders and partners alike.
