Sports organiser Kutubuddin Akseer passes away

National sports award-winning organiser, former vice president of Bangladesh Cricket Board and EC member of Bangladesh Olympic Association Kutubuddin Ahmed Chowdhury Akseer passed away at 77 in Dhaka on Wednesday.

He breathed his last at 3.20 pm while undergoing treatment at the BIRDEM Hospital in the capital, as per UNB reports.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expressed deep shock at the death of Kutubuddin Akseer.

In a condolence message, BCB President and Minister for Youth and Sports Nazmul Hassan Papon said: “Kutubuddin Akseer had served Bangladesh cricket with commitment, passion and dedication. The country’s cricket fraternity will always remember his contribution to the game."

On behalf of the Board, he also conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Bangladesh Olympic Association also condoled at the demise of Akseer.
