Tank-lorry Owners Association has threatened to go for an indefinite strike across the country from August 1 if their three-point demand is not met by July 31.

Sheikh Farhad Hossain, general secretary of Bangladesh Tank-lorry Owners Association Central Committee, read out a written statement on behalf of their association at a press briefing held in Khulna city on Sunday, reports UNB.

They also threatened to suspend the collection and transportation of fuel if their demands are not met during this period.

The demands include raising economic life of tanks and lorries to 50 years, providing at least 7.5 per cent commission on the selling of fuel and issuing a gazette notification in this regard.
