Tarique prays at parents’ graves on Eid

After exchanging Eid greetings with guests at the State Guest House Jamuna, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has gone to pay his respects to his parents, former president Ziaur Rahman and former prime minister Khaleda Zia.

He was accompanied by his wife Zubaida Rahman, daughter Zaima Rahman, sister-in-law Syeda Shamila Rahman, and his two nieces Zahia Rahman and Zafia Rahman.

The family read Surah Fateha in front of the graves before praying.

Tarique, also the chairman of the BNP, then laid a wreath on the graves on behalf of the party. He was accompanied by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, National Standing Committee Members Nazrul Islam Khan, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, and Prof AZM Zahid Hossain, Advisory Council to the Chairman Member Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, MP Mir Shahe Alam, and the Prime Minister's Defence Advisor ATM Shamsul Islam and other party leaders were present at the time.

Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Ruman said, “Following the prayers, the prime minister and his family returned to his Gulshan home.”
