TCB to start OMS in Khulna on Monday

Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) is set to start open market sale (OMS) of essential commodities in Khulna city on Monday ahead of Durga Puja.

will sell sugar, soybean oil and red gram will be available at 15 sale centres, five dealers and five trucks-mounted sale stations in the city.

sale centres are Rupsha Bazar, Notun Bazar, Tutpara, Bangladesh Bank mor, Zila parishad area, KCC area, Moylapota Mor, Gallamari, Nirala, New Market, Divisional Commissioner Office area, Boyra Bazar, Daulotpur Notun Rasta, Mohosin Mor and Khalishpur area in the city.

Khulna Regional Officer of TCB Md Rabiul Morshed said a consumer can buy highest 4kg sugar, 5 liter soybean oil, 5kg red gram from September 30 to October 6, 2019 from the truck, dealer or TCB sale centres.

Each liter of soybean oil would be sold at r Tk 85 while Tk 50 has been fixed for each kg of sugar and Tk 50 for each kg of red gram, reports BSS.
