A teacher of Saidpur Abdur Rahman School and College in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj district has allegedly cut the hair of six students not wearing hijab.
Students and parents have alleged that teacher Runia Sarkar cut the hair of the students in the seventh class of the school on Wednesday, according to a local media report.
Seeking anonymity, a parent has said, “The teacher suddenly cut the hair of six students with scissors because they did not wear hijab in the classroom. This created panic among the students.”
Md Farid Ahmed, the principal of the school, said, “The teacher cut the hair of 3 or 4 girls a little because the girls were a little disorderly, not because they did not wear hijab.”
He said, “I came to know about it later. We are investigating. The process of taking legal action against the teacher is also underway.”
