The incident occurred in front of the house of Hazrat Ali in Chandipur around 7:00 am on Monday.

Bagha Police Station chief (OC) Serajul Haque said CNG driver Shariful Islam, who hailed from Lalpur’s Naopara village, was taking four passengers to Bagha when his vehicle crashed head-on into a three-wheeler, locally known as a Bhotbhoti, travelling in the opposite direction, reports UNB.

Two others have been injured in the crash, including Rokena's son Shahajan Ali and Seema Begum. The two of them were rescued and first taken to the Upazila Health Complex and then admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
