Three held for chanting 'Joy Bangla' slogan at National Memorial

A brief procession by Awami League activists at the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar on Independence Day led to the detention of three individuals after they chanted "Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu". The public apprehended them and handed them over to the police.
The incident occurred at around 11:30 am on Wednesday (March 26).
According to eyewitnesses, around 11:00 am, several individuals carrying the flag of the Freedom Fighters’ Association paid tribute at the memorial. While leaving, they began chanting slogans, triggering a strong reaction from the crowd. Most of the activists managed to escape, but three were caught and handed over to the police.
Police said that the three individuals were detained while attempting to create unrest. They have been taken into custody and are currently being interrogated.
