Three journalists win best reporting award at ‘Lily Media Fellowship 2024’

Three media professionals were honoured with the Best Reporting Award at the Lily Media Fellowship 2024 for their outstanding coverage of Bangladesh's emerging cosmetics, skincare, and personal care industry.

Jasim Uddin Badal of Samakal won the award in the print media category, DM Nazmul Hossain of Jago News secured the award in the online category, and Salim Malik of RTV was recognised in the television category.

The awards were handed over at a ceremony, held at the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) auditorium on Monday, organised jointly by DNCRP and the Association of Skincare And Beauty Products Manufacturers And Exporters of Bangladesh (ASBPMEB).

Mohammad Alim Akhter Khan, Director General of DNCRP, praised the journalists' contributions in highlighting the potential of this growing sector.

The event also acknowledged all 30 participating journalists with crests, certificates, and prize money for their work under the fellowship.

The fellowship was also jointly organised by DNCRP and ASBPMEAB.

Throughout the programme, journalists conducted on-site research, gathered industry insights, and published reports on the sector’s challenges, opportunities, and future prospect

Distinguished guests at the event included BSBPMEA secretary general Jamal Uddin, senior journalist Monowar Hossain, DNCRP directors Abdul Jalil and Fakir Muhammad as well as film actor Siam Ahmed and industry representatives.
