At least three people were killed and 15 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses in Sadar upazila of Faridpur district on Thursday.
The accident occurred around 9:30 am on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in the Kanaipur area.
The identities of the deceased could not be confirmed immediately,
Md Salauddin Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Karimpur Highway Police Station, said a bus coming from Faridpur collided head-on with another bus coming from Chuadanga.
Three people, including one of the drivers, died on the spot, while at least 15 others sustained injuries. The injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment, he said.
