Three robbers surrender after attempted heist at Rupali Bank in Keraniganj

Three robbers, who entered a branch of Rupali Bank at Zinjira in Keraniganj, have surrendered to law enforcement agencies. No injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident.

The robbery took place around 2:00 pm on Thursday when the gang entered the bank. Upon receiving the news, army, police, and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel quickly reached the scene.

In a message sent to the media, RAB-10 confirmed that the three robbers, armed with firearms, demanded Tk 1.5 million from the bank. They later surrendered to the security forces.

A RAB officer at the scene briefed the media, stating that there were three robbers inside the bank, all aged between 20 and 30 years. The situation was resolved through negotiation.

He further mentioned that while three robbers were inside, there were others outside the bank.
