The investigation committee formed by the Milestone School and College authorities to probe the jet crash that killed several students and teachers at the institution say that three students and two guardians are still missing since the incident.

Khadija Akter, the headmistress of the school section and member of the investigation panel, disclosed the situation around noon on Thursday, two days after the deadly disaster, bdnews24.com reports.

She said, “According to the information we have received so far, five people are still missing – three students and two guardians. This is based on information provided by the families.”

“We will hold a press conference around noon, or officially announce this information through the media wing.”

Classes for grades 9-12 at the school will resume from Sunday, school spokesman Shah Bulbul had told bdnews24.com earlier in the day.

A Bangladesh Air Force training jet aircraft crashed onto the campus in Dhaka’s Diabari on Monday afternoon. Twenty-nine people, mostly children, have died from the incident. Another 57 victims are hospitalised at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery and the Combined Military Hospital with injuries.
