TIB sends letters to US Secretary of State, Treasury to recover laundered money

Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) and Transparency International US have jointly sent a letter urging the US Secretary of State and the US Secretary of the Treasury to freeze funds smuggled from Bangladesh and send them back to the country. 

In the letter addressed to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen, the heads of both organisations also called on the Bangladesh government to actively cooperate with the US and other nations to hold the owners of illicit wealth accountable and recover the laundered money.
