The time for the accused to defend themselves in cases under the International Crimes Tribunal Act has been reduced from six weeks to three weeks.
The change has been made through an amendment to the statute to complete trial process quickly.
The gazette on the amended law ‘International Crimes (Tribunal) (Amendment) Ordinance 2025’ was published on Monday.
