A traffic police was killed as a truck hit him at Jatrabari intersection in the city on early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Assistant Sub-inspector Mohammad Khairul, 32.
Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police camp In-Charge Bachchu Miah said a truck hit ASI Khairul at around 2:30 am at Jatrabari intersection, leaving him severely injured, UNB reported.
He was taken to DMCH where doctors declared him dead.
