A passenger of CNG-run auto-rickshaw was killed and another injured as a train hit the vehicle at a level crossing in Patia municipal area on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Moin Uddin Prokash Jasim, 34, a resident of Dakhshin Gobindakhil area of Patia upazila, reports UNB.
Kefayet Ullah, officer-in-charge of Patia Police Station, said the accident took place as the running train hit the auto-rickshaw around 8 am, leaving Jasim dead on the spot and another injured.
