Miscreants set fire to Benapole Express train in Dhaka’s Gopibag, one dead

At least one person was killed as unidentified miscreants set fire to a train in the capital’s Gopibag area on Friday night, according to a local media report.

The fire service officials initially said three people died in the fire, but later scaled down the death toll, said the report.

Arsonists torched the Benapole Express train at 9:05 pm, UNB reported quoting Rakibul Hasan,duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence control room.

On information, two fire fighting units rushed to the spot at 9:25 pm and are trying to tame the blaze, he said.
