A school girl was crushed under the wheels of a truck in Katakhali area of Magura sadar upazila on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Bonna Khatun, 13, daughter of Billal Hossain of Mohishadanga village in Sadar upazila and also a class VII student at a local school, reports a news agency.
Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said the truck hit Bonna while she was crossing the road on way to her school, leaving her dead on the spot.
Police detained the trucker along with his vehicle, he added.
