Another free flat belonging to the family of Tulip Siddique (42), the minister of UK's ruling Labor Party, has been found in London. This information has come up in a report published in the UK media The Sunday Times on Saturday.

Tulip is currently the Economic Secretary of the UK Ministry of Finance (Treasury). As a minister, she is in charge of stopping crime and corruption in the country's financial sector, as per local media reports.

She is the daughter of Sheikh Rehana, sister of former autocratic prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

According to a report in The Sunday Times, Tulip lived in a flat in Hampstead, north London, which was given to her family by an ally of her aunt Sheikh Hasina. The flat in Finchley Road, Hampstead was given to Tulip's sister Azmina free of charge.

Sheikh Hasina was ousted from power in August last year in a mass uprising. Bangladesh's interim government has accused Hasina of "genocide, murder and crimes against humanity". The charges include the deaths of at least 800 protesters. She is also accused of corruption and embezzlement of funds.

Tulip is among the members of Sheikh Hasina's family who are alleged to have taken advantage. However, she has denied any wrongdoing. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he had confidence in Tulip.

The Hampstead flat was handed over to Azmina in 2009 by a Bangladeshi lawyer Moin Ghani. He represented Sheikh Hasina's government. There is a picture of him with the former prime minister.
