A Turkish national and a pick-up van driver were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Rajshahi highway at Senbhag in Puthia upazila on Monday night.
The victims were identified as driver Golap Hossain, 26, from Madhupur upazila in Tangail district and Turkish national Abbasi, 40.
According to Mostafizur Rahman, in-charge of Poba Highway Police, the pick-up van overturned on the highway after being hit by a truck at around 8:30 pm and then got smashed by a 'Century Paribahan' bus, leaving the driver dead on the spot and passenger Abbasi injured, UNB reports.
Abbasi was declared dead by doctors at Puthia Health Complex.
