Two suspected robbers have been killed in an alleged shootout with RAB in Chapainawabganj’s Gomostapur Upazila.
The gunfight occurred between 12:15am and 12:30am on the Kuichagara-Argara road on Monday, said RAB Chapainawabganj Camp official Squadron Leader Mohammad Sayeed Abdullah Al Murad.
“A RAB patrol team was on the Kuichagara-Argara Road when a gang of robbers opened fire on them. RAB returned fire and killed two of them.”
The two have yet to be identified, said RAB official Murad.
Four members of the RAB petrol team sustained ‘minor injuries’, he said, according to bdnews24.com. A pistol, four rounds of ammunition and a few sharp weapons were recovered from the scene.
