Two drug peddlers held at Islamic University

Police arrested two drug peddlers from the campus of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Tuesday.

The arrestees were identified as Mustafizur Rahman (25), son of Nur Muhammad, a resident of Vazondanga area in Faridpur district, and M Sajol (20), son of Mokbul Hossain, a resident of Anondanagar village in Jhenaidah, a news agency reported.

On secret information, a team of IU police conducted a drive on the campus and arrested the duo along with Yaba tablets and hemp, said Raton Sheikh, the Officer-in-Charge of IU Police Station.

A case was filed in this connection, he added.
