The Bangladesh-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) have honoured two journalists of The Financial Express (FE) with the BCCI-ERF Award 2021 for their outstanding reporting on the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and China.
The two journalists are FE’s Economic Editor AZM Anas and Special Correspondent Jasim Uddin Haroon.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi handed the award as chief guest during a function at the ERF auditorium in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon. The journalists were honoured with the crests, cheques of Tk 50,000 and certificates.
Daughter of AZM Anas received the award on behalf of his father who had died from a heart attack just after submission of his report.
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr Li Jimming joined the function as the special guest.
BCCI President Gazi Golam Murtoza, ERF President Sharmin Rinvy and General Secretary Rashedul Islam also attended the programme.
