Two female suspected militants surrendered in response to the request of law enforcers on the second day of the 'Gordian Knot' operation at the another 'militant den' at Gangpar in Madhabdi municipality area of Narsingdi on Wednesday.
They are Khadiza Akther Meghla and Mou.
The two women, wearing black burkas and helmets, were taken out of the building by a special ambulance of Narsingdi fire service around 2:35 pm and now they are being taken to Dhaka, report UNB, bdnews24.com.
They were also wearing helmets at the time.
A police official at the scene said that law enforcers had brought down a wall on the fifth floor of the building and entered the flat. The two women then agreed to surrender.
Police Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC) chief Monirul Islam told the media around 11:45am that the suspected militants would be asked to surrender before the final raid begin.
The SWAT raid would only commence if they did not surrender, he had said.
Later, the 41-hour operation came to an end on Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier, the law enforcers asked them several times over loudspeakers to surrender.
