Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested two drug peddlers along with 62 kilograms hemp from Nichu Colony in Saidpur upazila of Nilphamari on Saturday evening.
The arrestees were identified as Abul Kalam, 28, son of Hasem Ali of the colony and Kallal, 26, son of Kohinur Mia of Bashbari in the upazila, according to UNB news agency.
Acting on a tip-off, an elite force team conducted a drive in the area and arrested them with the contraband item, said Shajahan Pasha, officer-in-charge of Saidpur Police Station.
Later, the arrestees were handed over to the police station.
