Two JMB men get 20 years in prison

Two members of banned militant group Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) were sentenced to 20-year imprisonment each in a Anti-terrorism Act case in Natore.

Natore District and Sessions Judge Rezaul Karim handed down the verdict on Tuesday after examining all records and witnesses, said Public Prosecutor Sirajul Islam.

The convicts are - Rasel alias Tamim and Mozammel Hossain. The court also fined each of them with Tk 20,000, reports UNB.

Earlier on July 14, 2015, members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested Tamim and Mozmmel from Bonbelghoria area of the district town along with a pistol, several documents of JMB and money.

Later, two cases were filed against them.
