Two siblings infected with coronavirus in Cumilla

Two brothers, who came in contact with one of their colleagues who died of coronavirus in Noakhali, have tested positive for Covid-19 at Laksam upazila  in Cumilla.

Locals said the two siblings from Sahapra in Laksam municipality used to work in the same firm in Chowmuhani of Noakhali. One of them returned home one week ago after one of their colleagues tested positive.

Another sibling returned home on Wednesday last after their colleague succumbed to the disease.

The local administration put three houses under lockdown on the same day after they came to know about the matter, said Laksam Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr M Abdul Ali said on Saturday.

Their samples were sent to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research in Dhaka on Thursday where they were found positive for coronavirus, reports UNB.
