Two women with coronavirus symptoms die in Khulna, Sylhet

Two women with symptoms of novel coronavirus have died in Khulna and Sylhet.

In Khulna, an old woman suffering from fever, sneeze and cough died at Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) on early Tuesday.

Rupsha Upazila Health Officer Dr Anisur Rahman said the woman, who is just above 60, died around 1:00am.

She was a resident of Rupsha Upazila, UNB reports.

She got admitted to Rupsha Upazila Health Complex after returning home from Dhaka with her daughter-in-law a week ago but hid her travel history.

Civil Surgeon Dr Sujat Ahmed said samples from the deceased and her relative will be tested at KMCH.

Rupsha Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nasrin Akhter said they have been tracing contact history of the woman and sending people to home quarantine.

In sylhet, a 79-year-old woman suffering from breathing problems died at Shaheed Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital on Monday night.
 
Sushanto Kumar Mohapatra, resident medical officer of the hospital, said the woman died at 9:30pm while undergoing treatment at the isolation unit.
 
She had kidney problems, diabetes and breathing complications, he said.
 
The body was handed over to family members after consulting with the Civil Surgeon, he added.

Bangladesh has so far confirmed 123 coronavirus cases and 12 deaths.
