Admission tests in most of the universities will be held through cluster system from the next year and it will be introduced in all universities in phases.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni disclosed this at a press conference on the results of the HSC and its equivalent examination at the secretariat on Wednesday.
“Some universities want to conduct their own exams and students are being admitted in medical colleges across the country through unified admission test,” the minister said.
“We want to come to a decision in this regard within this year and the Vice Chancellor’s Council is discussing on the issue”.
Replying to a question she said the admission process must be made easier. “Some students appear in admission tests in seven to eight institutions. They have to go to different places for the examinations and face various problems including financial one,” she said, reports UNB.
