Doctors at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery have said three of six critically injured patients from the Milestone School and College jet crash are now in “grave condition”.

The hospital’s Director Nasir Uddin said the update came from the list of eight critical patients identified on Wednesday.

“Two of them have died. Among the remaining six, three are still in the same condition, while three have shown some improvement,” he added.

“We are discussing what extensive treatment can be provided for them.”

Nasir briefed the media at the burn institute around 8:00 pm on Thursday, giving an update on patients admitted following the deadly crash, bdnews24.com reports.

He said 42 patients are currently undergoing treatment at the facility.

The hospital has recorded 13 deaths, including two on Thursday.

This brings the overall death count in the Air Force jet crash to 31, most of whom were children.

Speaking on international medical support, Nasir confirmed that a delegation from India has already arrived. China hasn’t sent their team yet. “But we’ve shared case summaries with them.”

“From the information we received, a five-member specialist team from China is scheduled to arrive [on Thursday night], though they haven’t landed yet,” he said.

He added that discussions have also taken place with Singapore, though no doctors have arrived from there.

“We’ve received pledges of medical support from many countries. Even Bangladeshi specialists living in the US and UK have extended their help,” Nasir said.

“In situations like this, for the sake of our children’s recovery and better care, we welcome all assistance under what is known as ‘doctors without borders’.

“The world is open to doctors -- they can come from any country, any place. We are taking expert advice from them,” he added.

Nasir also made it clear that there is no need for blood, skin, or financial donations at this point.

"We do not need blood at this stage," he said. "Some have enquired about skin donation, but we are not accepting that either.

“Our skin bank holds a sufficient supply, which we can use as needed."

He also urged the public not to send money through platforms like bKash or Nagad.

“All treatment costs for these children, including equipment and everything necessary, are being fully provided by the government. We have no shortage of anything.”

On Monday, an air force fighter jet crashed onto the premises of Milestone School.

The jet exploded on impact, killing dozens and injuring scores -- many of them children.

By 9:00 pm on Thursday, the Chief Advisor’s Office (CAO) shared the latest tally of patients and casualties across hospitals via Facebook.

At the Combined Military Hospital (Dhaka), eight patients are being treated, with 15 confirmed deaths.

One patient is admitted to Shaheed Monsur Ali Medical College Hospital, where no deaths have occurred.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital has no current patients but has recorded one fatality.

Lubna General Hospital currently has no admitted patients; one unidentified victim was confirmed dead there.

United Hospital also has no current patients; one burn victim has died there.

In total, 51 patients have been treated across six hospitals, with 31 confirmed deaths from the Milestone School incident as of 9:00 pm on Thursday, according to the CAO.
