Voting centres of political bigwigs

As Bangladesh heads to the polls for the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) election today (Thursday), the top brass from Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, and National Citizen Party (NCP) have finalised their voting schedules.

The political heavyweights are set to cast their ballots in various constituencies in the first general election since the 2024 Uprising.

BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman will cast his vote at Gulshan Model School and College in the capital.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will cast vote at Thakurgaon Govt Girls' High School.

Among the BNP Standing Committee members, Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain will cast his vote at Goyeshpur Government Primary School in Daudkandi under Cumilla. Mirza Abbas will vote at Shahjahanpur Mirza Abbas Mohila Degree College in the capital.

Babu Goyeshwar Chandra Roy will cast his vote at Arakul Government Primary School in Keraniganj. Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan will vote at Charnagardi Govt Primary School in Palash under Narsingdi.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman, who is contesting from Dhaka-15 constituency (Mirpur-Kafrul), will cast his vote at Monipur Boys High School in the capital.

Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, who is contesting from Khulna-5 constituency (Dumuria-Phultala), will cast his vote at Shiromoni Pashchim- para Govt Primary School in Khan Jahan Ali area.

NCP Convener Nahid Islam, a candidate from Dhaka-11 constituency, will vote at A K M Rahmat Ullah University College in Beraid under Badda. NCP Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain will vote at Vhayerhat Centre in Kaunia under Rongpur-4.

Sarjis Alam, Chief Organiser (North), will vote at Bamonkumar Rakhaldebihat High School in Panchagarh. Hasnat Abdullah, Chief Organiser (South), will vote at Gopalnagar High School in Rasulpur Union under Cumilla-4.

Abdul Hannan Masud, Senior Joint Coordinator, will vote at Burirchar Shahid Ali Ahmed Memorial High School in Hatia under Noakhali.
