Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Adviser Md Nahid Islam said there is no need for protests or movements at Bangabhaban or elsewhere demanding President Mohammed Shahabuddin's resignation.

"We have received the people's message and are discussing it. We need to reach a decision on this matter through discussion. Therefore, I urge everyone to remain calm and vigilant", he said.

He made these remarks while speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Wednesday.

"At this moment, whether the President will remain in office is not a legal or constitutional question. It is entirely a political decision. Therefore, a decision on this matter can be reached based on political consensus and national unity”, the adviser said.

“Discussions are ongoing from the interim government's side. We are discussing the matter with various stakeholders, and a decision may come through these discussions”, he added.
