A woman has died after being hit by a train while crossing the road in the capital's Kuril area.
The incident occurred around 10 am on Thursday, according to Inspector Joynal Abedin of Dhaka Railway Police Station, according to a bdnews24.com report.
Deputy Inspector Tara Mia of the Airport Railway Police Station said, “The woman is a resident of Dhobaura Thana in the Mymensingh District. We have yet to confirm her name. She was crushed while she was crossing the rail line in the morning. The body was recovered and sent for an autopsy.”
“We will confirm the identity of the deceased once we take their fingerprints,” said Deputy Inspector Shahida Begum of Dhaka Railway Police Station.
