A man was slaughtered allegedly by his wife at Dewanpur village in Chattogram’s Mirsharai upazila in the early hours of Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Sonatan Mazumder Prokash Sanak, 45, son of Bhabranjan.
According to Md Iftekhar Uddin, officer-in-charge of Jorarganj Police Station, Sonaton's wife Lucky Mazumder first banged the victim’s head with a piece of wood and then slaughtered him with a sharp weapon at around 1:00am.
It is being suspected that a family feud led to the occurrence, reports UNB.
On information, police recovered the body in the morning and arrested Lucky.
