Agitating workers of TNZ Group, on Saturday evening, rejected the government's measure to pay TK 20 million before Eid against their total dues of over TK 177 million.

After a meeting, labour secretary AHM Shafiquzzaman at a press briefing at Srama Bhaban said one of the directors of the group is under the custody of the labour ministry, and he would arrange the amount after selling machinery.

But workers rejected the decision and said they would continue their protests until they are fully paid--all due wages and Eid bonus.

Labour Secretery is still on the spot until filing of this report at 5.0 pm.

Workers of three readymade garment factories of TNZ Group on Friday claimed a total of Tk177.8 million of unpaid  wages, bonuses and other allowances, while they were paid only Tk 10.5 million.
