A young man was crushed under the wheels of a train at Rajshahi’s Puthia upazila.
The deceased was identified as Emdadul Haq, 22, son of Rezaul Karim of Khudrajamia village in the upazila.
Haq was walking along the rail tracks in Belpukur Railgate area at around 1:00 pm on Tuesday when the train hit him, he died on the spot, said Sudhir Babu, officer-in-charge of Puthia Police Station, UNB reported.
Police, after arriving the scene, recovered the body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
