A 28-year-old man died early Sunday allegedly after jumping from the sixth floor of a building in Rasulpur area of Kamrangirchar in the capital.
The deceased was identified as Imam Hossain, of Charposhon village under Dakkhin upazila in Bhola district, as per a UNB report.
He used to live in a rented house in Kamrangirchar’s Rasulpag area and worked at a furniture shop.
Talking to reporters at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), victim's father Tajuddin said that his son jumped from the window of his room around 2:00 am following a family dispute.
Hearing his wife’s scream, locals rescued him and took him to the DMCH emergency unit around 2:30 am where doctors declared him dead.
DMCH police outpost in-charge Inspector Md Faruk said the body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
