A youth died of dengue while undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Nazmul Hossain (22), son of Hira Mia of Bitibari area of Muktagachha upazila of Mymensingh district, according to local media reports.
Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, focal person of the dengue unit, told the journalists that Nazmul was admitted to the MMCH on Thursday after contracting dengue.
He died around 4:30 am today (Sunday) while undergoing treatment, Dr Moon said.
Nazmul was also suffering from complications of lung infection and salt deficiency in the blood, the doctor added.
