A young man was stabbed dead by miscreants in Moktar Bari area of Tongi in Gazipur on Friday night.
The deceased Saikat Hossain was a son of Kabir Hossain and a resident of Ershadnagar Dattapara area of the city.
The incident occurred in the area around 10 pm when a gang of miscreants attacked Saikat over previous enmity, leaving him critically injured, said Ashraful Hasan, sub-inspector of Tongi Police Station.
He was rushed to Uttara Adhunik Medical College and Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 11:30 pm.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Shaheed Taj Uddin Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy, reports UNB.
