10 RAB men test positive for COVID-19 in Nilphamari

Ten more members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have been infected with coronavirus in Nilphamari district.

District Civil Surgeon Dr Ranjit Kumar Barman came up with the information on Thursday night.

With the latest ones, 19 RAB members of Nilphamari RAB-13 have so far been infected with the virus, he said.

To date, 108 coronavirus-infected patients have been detected in the district, according to a UNB report.

The healthcare authorities of Bangladesh recorded as many as 2,019 new confirmed cases of infection as of Thursday. This was reportedly the highest single-day surge in the number of cases recorded in the country as of yet. With this development, Bangladesh has tallied 40,321 confirmed cases.

Besides, the country’s death toll now stands at 559 with the deaths of 15 more people till Thursday.
