211 of subordinate courts Covid-19 infected

A total of 211 people, including 44 judges and 167 staff, of the subordinate courts were found infected with Covid-19 until Monday.

Law Ministry confirmed the matter in a press release on Tuesday.

Among the judges, 20 made recovery while Lalmonirhat Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Ferdous Ahmed died.

Magura District and Sessions Judge has been receiving treatment at hospital and the rest at their homes.

Two among the infected lower court officials have died, according to the report of monitoring desk of Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

Law Minister Anisul Huq has been observing the reports.

The death toll from coronavirus in Bangladesh rose to 2,151 on Tuesday as health authorities confirmed the death of 55 more patients in 24 hours.

Besides, 3,027 new Covid-19 cases were detected after testing 13,173 samples, taking the total confirmed cases to 1,68,645, reports UNB.
