Jhenaidah police arrest 36 in special drive

Police in a special drive arrested 36 people from different areas of Jhenaidah district on Sunday.

During the drive, the law enforcers also seized drug from the possession of the arrestees.

Additional Police Super of Jhenaidah Azbahar Ali Sheikh said that they conducted the special drive in different places of six upazilas of the district from Saturday night to Sunday morning and arrested them on various charges.

Among the arrestees, 13 were arrested from Jhenaidah Sadar upazila, three from Horinakundu, three from Shailkupa, nine from Kaliganj, six from Moheshpur, and two from Kotchadpur upazilas; according to UNB.
