Of them, 90 were ACCA members and 34 were FCCA members.

Barrister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury, deputy minister of the Ministry of Education, was present as the chief guest.

Md Shafaat Ali Choyon, senior business development manager of ACCA Bangladesh, rendered a presentation titled 'Business Partner of the Future' in front of the guests at the beginning of the programme.

Like every year, the ‘National Member Advocacy Award-2019’ was awarded to two professional accountants from ACCA Bangladesh. This year, Seezan M Choudhury became winner and Mohsena Khanom the runner-up. In addition, eight members of the Member Advisory Committee (MAC) were certified and special honorary crests were given to nine ACCA members as members of FRC Working Group, for their special contribution to the overall operation of ACCA Bangladesh.

Congratulating the winners and the awardees, Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury said, “We believe that accountancy is vital for economies to grow and prosper, which is why we all should work all over the world to build the profession and make society fairer and more transparent.”

In Bangladesh, ACCA has around 400 members along with 5,000 students currently.
