A member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was killed when a speeding truck ran over him on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Chauddagram upazila on Wednesday night.
The deceased, Abul Kalam, was a lance nayek of Ananadpur BGB camp in the upazila, said Abul Faisal, officer-in-charge of Chaddadgram Police Station.
The truck knocked Kalam down around 10:15pm when he was investigating a suspicious auto-rickshaw during BGB patrol, leaving him dead on the spot, according to a UNB report.
