BGB nabs two ‘smugglers’ in C’nawabganj

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive nabbed two suspected smugglers along with arms and 50 bottles of Phensedyl from Chowka border point in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district on early Monday.

Tipped off, a team of BGB-9 led by Lt Col SM Abul Ehsan, launched a drive in the area around 3 am and arrested the duo.

The arrestees were identified as Md Jem (28), and Babu Bhodol (25).

Police also recovered a pistol, seven bullets, two magazines, two sharp weapons and Phensedyls from their possession, reports a local news agency.
