A 24-year-old man has been killed after a truck hit his bicycle from behind at Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway adjacent to the Fu-Wang factory in Gazipur Sadar upazila.
The incident occurred in Hotapara area around 7am on Monday, leaving Humayun Ahmed, a worker of Fu-Wang factory, dead on the spot, said inspector of Naozor Highway Police Station Outpost Md Ohiduzzaman.
Ahmed, a resident of Monipur Nayapara, was on his way to Mymensingh riding on a bicycle when the vehicle hit him, reports bdnews24.
Police seized the vehicle but failed to nab the driver as he managed to flee the scene.
